THE LAW OF THE FULCRUM .
Axioms and Theorems of a Neutral System PART III.
COROLLARIES .
Lesson 17. Corollaries for Governance.
Lesson 17. Corollaries for Governance.
I. FROM THE LAW OF THE FULCRUM TO A NEW UNDERSTANDING OF
THE LEADER.
In the second Axiom of the Law of the Fulcrum, Master Phạm
Hùng Sơn points out a foundational principle: The Fulcrum does not create
energy; it orients energy.
At first glance, this is a principle concerning the
operation of systems. Yet if this principle reflects a universal law, it must
hold not only in mechanics or philosophy, but in every system formed by human
beings.
An organization, an enterprise, or a nation is a system that
gathers countless resources: people, knowledge, material, technology, and
information. These resources are the energy of the system. They may be
abundant, yet by themselves they do not guarantee development. Only when
correctly oriented can they form a collective strength.
If so, a natural question arises: In an organization, what
performs the function of orienting the entirety of that energy?
This is no longer a question of managerial technique; it is
a question about the very nature of governance.
In the spirit of the Law of the Fulcrum, any system that
wishes to operate stably must possess a Fulcrum. An organization, therefore,
cannot be an exception. The issue is not whether the organization has a
Fulcrum, but what that Fulcrum is and where it is placed.
From this point we begin to view the leader from a different
angle.
If the leader is understood merely as the person who holds
the highest power, then power becomes the center of governance. But if the
leader is understood as the Fulcrum of the organization, what becomes decisive
is no longer power but the capacity to orient. In that case, the leader’s role
is not to create every value for the organization, but to help all the values
that already exist converge, resonate, and develop in the same direction.
This is the first corollary that the Law of the Fulcrum
opens for the science of governance: the essence of the leader is determined
first and foremost not by power, but by their role as the Fulcrum of the entire
system.
For this reason, when we speak of governance we are not
merely discussing leadership skills; we are answering a larger question: If the
mission of humanity is to evolve together, and that evolution follows the laws
of Hồng Bàng Dịch, what must the leader do so that those laws can manifest
within an organization?
The answer of the Law of the Fulcrum is: In a system, the
leader is not defined by a position of power, but by the capacity to become the
Fulcrum so that the entire system can operate and develop together.
II. THE FULCRUM DOES NOT REPLACE THE CAPACITY OF THE
SYSTEM; IT AWAKENS THE CAPACITY OF THE SYSTEM.
If the leader is the Fulcrum of the organization, a new
question arises: Does the Fulcrum do the work of the entire system in its
place?
The Law of the Fulcrum has already answered this question
from its foundational Axioms. The Fulcrum does not create energy. The Fulcrum
does not replace energy. The Fulcrum only orients energy so that it moves
according to the law and brings forth its proper value.
This means that if a leader must take upon themselves every
decision, solve every problem, and become the place where the entire capacity
of the organization is concentrated, that is not the sign of a strong Fulcrum.
On the contrary, it is a sign that the system has not yet formed a correct
Fulcrum.
It is precisely on this foundation that the fifth Axiom of
Master Phạm Hùng Sơn opens a deeper layer of meaning: An external Fulcrum is
truly valuable only when it awakens the internal Fulcrum.
This is not merely a principle for the development of each
individual; it is a principle of every system capable of evolution.
If the leader is regarded as the Fulcrum of the
organization, their role cannot stop at directing work or solving problems. The
highest value of the leader is to help each member find their own Fulcrum so
that they can orient themselves, take responsibility themselves, and develop
themselves.
This is also the fundamental difference between an
organization that operates by command and an organization that operates by the
Fulcrum.
In an organization that operates by command, the capacity of
the system tends to concentrate in the leader. The more work must wait for
directives from above, the more the system depends on a single individual. The
stability of the organization then becomes fragile, because it is tightly bound
to the capability of the person at the top.
Conversely, in an organization that operates by the Fulcrum,
the leader does not hold every answer. They create a shared system of values, a
clear direction, and an environment transparent enough for each member to make
decisions consistent with the organization’s goals.
When that happens, the maturity of the organization is no
longer measured by the number of commands issued, but by the number of people
capable of acting correctly on their own even when the leader is not physically
present.
This is the corollary of the fifth Axiom when it is
illuminated in the science of governance. The leader does not become the
strength of the organization. The leader becomes the Fulcrum so that the
strength already inherent in the organization can be awakened, connected, and
brought into full play.
An organization therefore does not grow strong because of
one outstanding individual; it grows strong when every member finds their own
Fulcrum within a shared Fulcrum of the whole system.
III. THE FULCRUM CREATES INFORMATION; INFORMATION ORIENTS
THE ENTIRE SYSTEM.
Master Phạm Hùng Sơn writes: “Information is the guiding
mechanism of energy.”
This is one of the important conclusions of the Theorem of
Information and Energy.
From that statement we can continue to develop and expand as
follows: If the leader neither creates energy for the organization nor can
replace the capacity of each member, what enables the whole system to move in a
unified direction?
The answer can be found in a Theorem that Master Phạm Hùng
Sơn constructed earlier: Information is the guiding mechanism of energy.
This Theorem shows that energy does not decide its own
direction. It is information that orients the movement of energy.
Placed in the field of governance, every member of an
organization carries their own knowledge, experience, motivation, and creative
capacity. That is the energy of the system. Yet if each person receives
different information, understands a different goal, and pursues a different
value, those sources of energy will not form a collective strength; they may
even cancel one another out.
From this we can draw an important corollary. If the leader
is the Fulcrum of the organization, then first of all they must be the one who
creates orienting information for the entire system.
Information here is not merely commands or operational
directives. It is a shared vision. It is a shared system of values. It is a
shared goal. It is a set of principles clear enough for every member, whatever
their position, to make decisions consistent with the developmental direction
of the organization.
When the Fulcrum is correct, information becomes consistent.
When information is consistent, energy begins to resonate. And when energy
resonates, the system acquires the capacity to self-adjust and to develop
itself.
This is not merely a technique of management; it is the
inevitable corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum when it is illuminated within an
organizational system.
IV. A WELL-GOVERNED SYSTEM IS A SYSTEM CAPABLE OF
SELF-ADJUSTMENT.
In the Theorem of Self-Adjustment, Master Phạm Hùng Sơn
pointed out an important principle: A sustainable system does not exist by
continuous external control, but by the capacity for self-adjustment from
within.
From that statement we can continue to develop and expand as
follows: If an organization is a living system, the highest goal of governance
cannot be merely to maintain order or ensure compliance. A system truly matures
only when it can recognize deviations by itself, adjust its mode of operation
by itself, and adapt to environmental changes without complete dependence on
the intervention of the leader.
Viewed from this angle, the role of the leader is also
understood differently. The leader is not the person who directly adjusts every
activity of the organization. The leader creates the Fulcrum so that the
organization can adjust itself.
This also means that the capacity of a leader is not
measured by the number of decisions they must make each day, but by the ability
to build a system in which correct decisions are increasingly formed from the
internal strength of the organization itself.
When every member shares a common Fulcrum, receives a common
system of values, and aims at a common goal, self-adjustment is no longer the
action of isolated individuals; it becomes the capacity of the entire system.
This is the corollary of the Theorem of Self-Adjustment when
it is developed in the field of governance.
Therefore, a well-governed organization is not one in which
the leader is present in every decision, but one that can still operate in the
right direction even when the leader does not intervene directly in each
activity.
V. GOVERNANCE IS NOT THE ART OF CONTROL, BUT THE ART OF
CREATING THE FULCRUM.
In the Axioms and Theorems already presented, Master Phạm
Hùng Sơn repeatedly affirms a consistent idea: Every system that wishes to
develop sustainably must begin from a correct Fulcrum.
From that statement we can continue to develop and expand as
follows: If every system needs a Fulcrum to orient its movement, then
governance is first of all not the management of people, finances, or
processes. All those activities are only the external expression of a deeper
task.
The foundational work of governance is to create and to
preserve the Fulcrum of the system.
When the Fulcrum is correct, the system of values becomes
clear. When the system of values is clear, information becomes unified. When
information is unified, energy resonates. When energy resonates, the system
acquires the capacity for self-adjustment and continuous development.
Conversely, if the Fulcrum is misaligned, then no matter how
abundant the resources, how talented the people, or how advanced the
technology, those resources can hardly form a collective strength. The problem
then lies not in any individual part, but in the very foundation that orients
the entire system.
From this viewpoint we can see that the difference between a
manager and a true leader does not lie only in title or authority. A manager
can operate the machinery. But a true leader must also create the Fulcrum so
that the machinery can operate by itself, adjust by itself, and develop by
itself.
That is also why the greatest value of a leader does not lie
in how many problems they solve, but in whether, after each decision, the
organization moves closer to a shared Fulcrum.
This is the corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum when it is
developed and expanded in the field of governance.
VI. FROM GOVERNING AN ORGANIZATION TO GOVERNING A
CIVILIZATION.
In previous lessons, Master Phạm Hùng Sơn has repeatedly
pointed out that the Law of the Fulcrum is not merely a principle of the
individual or of a single organization; it is a principle of every system.
From that statement we can continue to develop and expand as
follows: If an enterprise that wishes to develop sustainably must begin from a
correct Fulcrum, then a nation must do the same. If a nation that wishes to
develop harmoniously must begin from a correct Fulcrum, then a civilization
cannot be an exception.
The difference lies only in the scale of the system. The law
itself does not change.
This shows that governance is not the art of running an
organization; it is the art of creating and preserving the Fulcrum for any
system whatsoever.
An enterprise that loses its Fulcrum loses its direction. A
nation that loses its Fulcrum falls into crisis. A civilization that loses its
Fulcrum loses the capacity for self-adjustment and self-development.
Conversely, when the Fulcrum is correctly established,
differences of scale, culture, or organizational model cease to be obstacles.
Each system can bring forth its internal strength while resonating with other
systems within a larger order.
This is also the place where the three works we have always
placed within the tripod system meet one another. The Mission of Maitreya
points out the destination of evolution. Hồng Bàng Dịch points out the laws of
evolution. The Law of the Fulcrum points out the method by which that evolution
can become reality in each person, each organization, each nation, and, more
broadly, in the whole of human civilization.
Therefore the corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum for
governance does not stop at forming a new model of leadership. Its deeper
meaning is to open a new approach to the development of every system in the
common evolutionary process of humanity.
CONCLUSION.
Master Phạm Hùng Sơn has affirmed that every system that
wishes to develop must begin from a correct Fulcrum.
From that foundational statement we can continue to develop
and expand as follows: Governance, seen to its ultimate depth, is not the art
of controlling people. Governance is the art of awakening the law.
When the law is awakened, people know where they must go.
When people know where they must go, energy finds its own direction. When
energy moves in the same direction, the system forms its own strength. And when
that strength knows how to adjust itself, the leader is no longer the one who
must stand in front and pull the whole group forward.
The leader becomes a quiet yet firm Fulcrum, so that every
person can stand firmly on their own feet, every organization can bring forth
its internal strength, and every system can orient itself toward a larger
process of development.
That is also the moment when governance rises above the
meaning of a mere operational skill. It becomes a method of creating
development. Not by replacing the strength of the system, but by awakening the
strength that already exists within the system.
This is the corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum for
governance. And it is also further proof that the value of the Law of the
Fulcrum does not stop at explaining a principle; it opens a method by which
human beings can build organizations, nations, and civilizations capable of
self-development in harmony and sustainability.
EXPANDING THE MEANING OF THE COROLLARY.
If we regard governance merely as a skill of running an
organization, the corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum will remain within the
scope of enterprises or administrative machinery. But if we regard the Law of
the Fulcrum as a law of every system, its meaning far exceeds the scope of
governance.
From the Axioms and Theorems that Master Phạm Hùng Sơn has
constructed, we can continue to develop and expand a broader view as follows:
Every system that wishes to evolve needs a Fulcrum. A human being needs a
Fulcrum to perfect themselves. An organization needs a Fulcrum to resonate the
strength of the collective. A nation needs a Fulcrum to gather the will of the
people. And a civilization also needs a Fulcrum so that it does not lose
direction in the flow of history.
At this point the Law of the Fulcrum begins to meet a larger
space of thought. If Hồng Bàng Dịch is the discovery of the laws governing the
universe and life, then the Law of the Fulcrum points out where human beings
must act in order to move in accordance with those laws. If the Mission of
Maitreya points out the destination of humanity’s evolutionary process, then
the Law of the Fulcrum points out the method by which each person, each
organization, and each nation can contribute to realizing that process.
The three works therefore do not replace one another. They
support one another like the three legs of a tripod. One leg points out the
purpose. One leg points out the law. One leg points out the method.
Only when the three legs stand firm together can a complete
system of thought take shape.
And perhaps that is also the deeper meaning of what Master
Phạm Hùng Sơn calls the Fulcrum. The Fulcrum does not merely help an object
move. It does not merely help a human being mature. It does not merely help an
organization develop. At a deeper level, the Fulcrum becomes the place where
the will of human beings can meet the laws of the universe, so that development
is no longer an act of force, but becomes companionship with the process of
life.
If we can imagine it in an image, then Hồng Bàng Dịch is
like the sky full of unchanging laws. The Mission of Maitreya is like the North
Star that points out the direction of the journey. And the Law of the Fulcrum
is the pair of wings and the stream of air that lift human beings so they can
complete that journey.
That is why the corollary of the Law of the Fulcrum for
governance does not stop at forming a new method of leadership. It also opens a
greater possibility: from governing a person to governing an organization; from
governing an organization to governing a nation; and from governing a nation to
jointly creating a civilization that knows how to develop in harmony with the
laws of the universe and of life.
The Fulcrum is no longer merely a concept; it is becoming a
“principle of connection.” It connects physics with philosophy, the individual
with the organization, governance with civilization, and within the very
structure we are building it also connects Hồng Bàng Dịch, the Mission of
Maitreya, and the Law of the Fulcrum into a single whole.
Perhaps the greatest value of the Law of the Fulcrum does
not lie only in discovering an additional new law, but in the capacity to
become the bridge between laws that once seemed separate. Thanks to the
Fulcrum, the laws of matter, of life, of consciousness, and of society no
longer exist as isolated fragments; they begin to link into a whole. When that
happens, knowledge no longer develops along separate academic lines, but step
by step converges toward a common principle of operation and evolution.
The Fulcrum does not create truth. The Fulcrum helps truths
that are scattered recognize one another. The Fulcrum does not replace Hồng
Bàng Dịch, nor does it replace the Mission of Maitreya. The Fulcrum creates the
connection so that the core values of those two works can converge in a method
of action. For this reason the value of the Law of the Fulcrum lies not only in
itself, but also in its capacity to connect so that true values can resonate
together, illuminate one another, and together orient the development of human
beings and of humanity.
Because in the tripod system we have built:
These are three different questions, yet when placed side by
side they form a complete whole.
Perhaps the enduring value of a doctrine does not lie in the
number of new things it asserts, but in its capacity to help true truths
recognize one another, support one another, and together serve the evolution of
human beings. If that is so, the Law of the Fulcrum is not only a law of
movement; it is also a Fulcrum so that systems of knowledge can meet in the
same aspiration: to understand the law correctly, to act by the correct method,
and to orient together toward the harmonious development of life.
A great doctrine is great not merely because it answers many
questions. A great doctrine is great because it helps questions that once
seemed scattered recognize that they belong to the same system.
